"What though the radiance that was once so bright, be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower; We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind."~William Wordsworth
No. It really can be explained clearly. I think it’s really sad that this image completely strips Christ from the picture when in actuality, He is the picture.
God’s love can be explained far better than it can just be “experienced”.
God’s love for us is in His son’s death and resurrection, suffering the full penalty of our sins so that we won’t have to. THAT’S LOVE. Not what our fickle emotions feel is good and right. I’d much rather abide by the factual cross of Christ, a cross burdened by the son of God who knew no sin, than in my erratic, flighty, versatile emotions that can one day feel down for no reason and the next day rejoice in nothing at all.
God’s love isnt apareant in our emotions. it’s apearant at Calvary.
It’s apparent in the innocent blood shed for our sins and transgressions. It’s not about our emotions, it’s not about what we feel, it’s about Christ and Christ alone.
